So, I really like makeup... and I want to move my career into doing something that involves helping people and centers around cosmetics and beauty. This partnered with the fact that I have been absorbing facts and knowledge from YouTube beauty gurus (like NikkieTutorials, grav3yardgirl, Tati, Huda Beauty, SariReanna, Zabrena, thekatvond, WhatWouldLizzyDo, AlexisJayda, Jennifer Chiu, thataylaa, Kandee Johnson, myratouchofglam, Kathleen Lights and like a shit ton more...) has got me wanting to dive into the world of cosmetic reviews and tutorials/hacks!

Well here is the VERY first one! You can check out my video on YouTube to see the real action! The lighting is super duper terrible, but I'm working on getting a better set-up! Watch my video and subscribe to watch me grow in my career, develop new skills, get better lighting lol, and you never know, I might learn ya somethin'! Warning: I'm crazy and weird, but I'm Kay Cheesy so that's okay!

Here is the review/first impression in word form for those of you who are like me and like to read as much if not more than watching a video!

Product: Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Makeup (Foundation)

I got my Insta-Fix at CVS for around $5 after the deals, my saved up Extrabucks, and a coupon! I love love LOVE a good deal - especially on makeup!!!! It normally retails there for around $14.50, but you can get it at Walmart for around $11, or other drugstores/big boxes too.

First first impressions are, of course the packaging. It is rather plain, but I'm okay with that. I'd rather pay for a plain-looking product that does the job than a frilly-looking one that is a piece of you-know-what! It was easy to open and the color/name (mine is 110 Ivory because I am a member of the pasty white girl club as far as skin goes) is on the bottom. There's 0.24oz./6.8g in the stick of foundation. Yep, it's a stick! I might be a little new to the scene, but that part excites me because it is easy to just smear it all over my face instead of gooping it on my hand or a palette first or slapping it on with a makeup sponge from a pan. That being said, it was easy peasy to apply.

At first it felt really creamy and I thought it was going to be too think, but after I applied it and then blended it out with my e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush it felt like I had nothing on! It looked great on my combination/oily face! It matched my more yellow-tinted ivory skin tone perfectly! It was impressive with one coat, but on my problem areas/blemishes I did have to go back and add another coat for fuller coverage. Keep in mind that in my first impression video I did NOT wear any primer, color corrector, or concealer as I wanted this to be a true testament to the products coverage. If you are someone who doesn't need full coverage foundation, you could literally grab this little guy, apply, blend, and throw it in your purse and go. However, if you need fuller coverage, I recommend concealer and possibly more than one coat of the foundation depending on your skin "situation." Mine is a little rough, not gonna lie!

Digging a little deeper than the video, I wore the foundation (like, right after the video, no concealer, etc.) for seven hours, and while it did cling a little to my dry areas and cake around my problem zones, the product stayed on my face even after sweating in the South Texas humid heat! I think I need a little more use of the product, but I'm pretty sure it is going to be a thumbs-up on the recommending of it! I will update my page as I try it more!

Kay Cheesy, out!
